SCODHE mission statement

The Conference is the representative body for higher education departments (the term includes schools, subject groups etc.) teaching and researching in Dance in the United Kingdom. Its aims are:

To represent the concerns and defend the interests of the subject domain in hgher education in the United Kingdom.

To provide a forum for professional and scholarly debate.

To promote and disseminate good practice.

To collect, exchange and disseminate information.

To liaise with other bodies, individuals, councils, institutions, groups and government offices and departments on matters relevant to the study of the subject domain at all levels of the educational system in the UK and internationally.
